Keeping Things In Perspective

The success of a business can often be determined by the size of issue the business owner worries about.

"If small things have the power to disturb you, then who you think you are is exactly that: small." - Eckhart Tolle

It’s 2014. Your business is still here. But you may not be getting the results that you should be getting. Are you focused on the wrong things, the small things and the small issues? Very often, in a recession, we start to focus on the small things and eventually they take over our very existence.

To grow your business, you must start to think again of the possibilities, start to ask yourself “how” rather than tell yourself it is not possible.

If a bank will not lend you money, ask yourself a better question rather than just throwing in the towel – maybe it is a case of changing your credit terms, maybe you are behaving like a bank.

If your sales are not where they should be, may be you need to look at the whole process and re-write it.

If your team are not performing for you, then maybe you need to look at yourself in the mirror and ask “how good a leader are you”?

How many big issues will you face up to in your business today? Or will you let all the small things bog you down and prevent you from taking your business to the next stage?
